Upholding Igbo culture values, heritage and passing it down to the young generation and those unable to come home is your primary purpose of being Eze in your respective states of residents to promote our culture , said the president general Ohaneze worldwide, represented by vice president general Ohaneze worldwide, ichie Ogene Okeke, who was on ground to witness the proceedings of the meeting and the election Ndi Ezeigbo Nauzoije (Diaspora) which he confirmed the election to be the beginning of a new era among the Igbos . It is a free and fair election without disagreement or walking out on each other as it used to be said Ogene.
The event brought together Eze Ndigbo na uzo ije from 19 states in the north & FCT, 12 southwest states , Overseas chapter and non Igbo speaking states in Nigeria with focus on peace, love, letting go as the only key towards achieving success among the igbos, said the outgoing president general of the association, Eze Igbo Kano Igwe Boniface Ibekwe,
