Nigeria Woman In Canada’ Amaka Clears Air On Toronto Police, Denies Arrest, Charge Claims

Amaka Sonnberger has refuted recent media reports circulating in Nigeria claiming she was arrested, detained and charged.  According to Amaka who spoke with Beadyswordblog on a phone conversation, ‘I was not arrested nor charged with any crime. Instead, I was invited by The Toronto Police Service following a report from the Nigerian government over a threat I made to poison Nigerians of Yoruba and Benin descent.

During her interaction with Canadian authorities, Amaka presented video evidence demonstrating that her actions were in response to threats against the Igbo nation in Nigeria from some people of Benin and Yoruba descent in tiktok live.

After reviewing the evidence, the police concluded that she had no further questions to answer and allowed her to leave.

At the same time, the Canadian government used the opportunity to call on the Nigerian government to address its internal tribal issues through peaceful and amicable solutions.
