The Women Entrepreneurs and Executives in Tech Summit (WEET) 2024, with the theme “AI Leadership: Navigating the Future of Women in Business,” was successfully held on September 27, 2024, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Alausa-Ikeja. Led by the convener, Ugochi Emmanuel.
The summit brought together prominent women leaders, tech professionals, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to discuss the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the future of women in business, and how AI is shaping leadership, innovation, and opportunities in the tech industry.
A key highlight of the summit was its collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), which spearheaded a 2-Day Advanced Digital Skills Boot Camp from September 19 to 20, 2024, at the Digital Bridge Institute, Cappa-Oshodi, Lagos. This critical initiative aimed at empowering women and girls with advanced digital skills, offering participants practical training on emerging trends in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), with a special emphasis on AI and related technologies.
