Embracing Peace and Tolerance: A Message from Comrade Adewale Adeyanju

As Muslims around the world celebrated the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr marking the end of Ramadan on Sunday, Comrade Adewale Adeyanju, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and immediate past President-General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), took the opportunity to urge citizens to embrace peace and tolerance.

In his heartfelt statement, Adeyanju extended his warmest congratulations to the Muslim community, encouraging them to celebrate Sallah with love, compassion, and forgiveness, emphasizing the importance of unity beyond religious divides.

Comrade Adeyanju also reminded Muslim brothers and sisters to remain cheerful and inspired by the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, who exemplified kindness and goodwill throughout his life, serving as a noble symbol of Islam.

As the Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Vice President of the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF), he commended the Muslim faithful for their resilience in upholding the values of Islam, particularly in fostering relative peace within the country.

He concluded his message by expressing a hopeful vision for a world where peace and tolerance are prioritized, suggesting that such values create a better society where everyone can thrive in joy and harmony.
