It is very unfortunate that at this time and age, some dull politicians would come together believing they can fool the whole of Lagos in the name of conducting elections.
This is to inform the public, especially the journalists, that what happened at the APC office, ACME road, Ogba, is totally a sham, deceitful and regrettable. As a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). What looked like free and fair elections was full of script acting and total deceitfulness, masterminded by Hon. Faleke. The moment we got to the venue and saw Oris Sulaimon from Bariga during the Electoral committee, we knew something wasn’t right because his name wasn’t mentioned in the broadcast list. How he managed to get in there is still a question the State Chairman will answer because he has a candidate in Bariga LCDA, and you cannot be the judge in your case. Many questions to be answered by the State Exco over what happened at ACME.
There are many questions to ask, I dare the leadership of the APC to come out and explain these:
1. Why did you leaders from various local governments communicate to the party members that you have received a particular name, and that the Exco must align with that name if they want their votes to count? This was a method used in brainwashing the Exco members to change their minds and write the name they claimed to be the anointed candidate, a case study is Bariga and Somolu. Our so-called leaders are a total disgrace, especially the past and current Executive Chairmen. They lied to everyone and brainwashed the Exco members that Mr President has picked someone in Bariga and Somolu, everyone must align with this. Presenting someone as Mr President is not the issue here, we believe our President will not give us unpopular candidates, he will always get correct information from leaders like Hon. Ademorin Kuye and Sen. Anthony Adefuye.
2. Why did the delegates to leave the premises instead of waiting to see their votes count? You brought out ballot boxes after those who voted had left, no one was available to testify to what they wrote on the ballot papers. You counted what suited you because you knew the game you were playing.
3. Initially, you announced that all Aspirants should come with one agent; suddenly, no agent was allowed into the venue; this is another game to avoid questioning the process.
4. How did Oris Sulaiman suddenly become a member of the Electoral committee? he has a candidate, Mrs Bukola Adedeji, in Bariga. Oris Sulaimon’s name was not mentioned in the committee list as released to the public. How can you be the judge in your case? We will not allow this to stand because the effect will be disastrous.
I am using this medium to notify our National leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to please come to the aid of Lagos State. This is not the party you left for us, this is not the democracy our so-called leaders should be playing under your leadership.
We don’t have Chairmanship candidates in Bariga yet, or in Somolu. We cannot work for unpopular candidates; the candidates imposed on us by the outgoing Chairman due to the fear of the unknown cannot hold ground, and we are ready to fight with the last drop of our blood.
The leaders like Senator Anthony Adefuye, Rep. Kuye Ademorin, Hon. Adeyemi Oluwole, Apex leaders in Bariga, know nothing about this,s and what happened at the Primary elections ground cannot stand, to avoid chaos and unrest in our local government.
We call for the total cancellation of the elections, especially the Somolu LG and Bariga LCDA in the interest of the party and our State, and call for a fresh one to be properly managed by trusted hands as soon as possible.
