Tragedy Strikes Kano: Military-Grade Explosive Claims Lives, Kano state police command has confirmed the death of five people from a military grade explosive in the state

Kano State is in mourning following a devastating incident involving a military-grade explosive. On Saturday, an explosion rocked a scrap collection company on the Eastern bypass, resulting in the loss of lives and numerous injuries.

According to the Kano State Police Command, the vehicle involved originated from Yobe State. State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, reported responding to an emergency call regarding the explosion. Upon arrival, the scene indicated the detonation of a military-grade explosive.

The blast resulted in 15 injuries, with victims immediately transported to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital. Tragically, five individuals were later confirmed dead. Ten others are currently receiving medical treatment for their injuries.

Preliminary investigations suggest the involvement of a truck arriving from Yobe State. Commissioner Bakori has assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway to ascertain the full details surrounding this tragic event.
