In a fiery exchange during a recent ARISE News morning show today  4th July 2025, NNPP chieftain and prominent politician Buba Galadima NNPP chieftain confronted the show’s presenter, Rufia, over what he described as unwarranted negativity. The incident occurred when the host inquired about a publication in Punch News, where NNPP founder Dr. Boniface Aniebuna was reported to have accused Rabiu Kwankwaso of anti-party activities and alleged that he had been expelled from the party.

Galadima, visibly infuriated by the line of questioning, sharply rebuked the presenter, urging him to verify facts with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He challenged the presenter to identify the current NNPP logo, referencing that political parties often undergo leadership changes without dissolving completely.

The presenter did not hesitate to educate him, explaining that he does not sell sugar, so it is not his duty to ask questions to make him happy, but rather to ask questions that solve problems and fulfill his journalistic responsibilities.

Galadima cited the example of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), emphasizing that those who started the party are no longer the ones running it today, yet the party still exists. Similarly, he pointed out that the All Progressives Congress (APC) was formed by several signatories, and one of the original signatories is him, Buba Galadima. Despite no longer being involved, that does not warrant the party’s dissolution.

Galadima’s passionate outburst underscores his stance against negative reporting. He told the presenter to stop bringing up that news, asserting that those are party issues that have already been addressed and are in the past. He stated that constantly bringing up such issues misrepresents political realities.

The incident has sparked conversations among political observers about Rabiu Kwankwaso’s true position within NNPP, especially regarding internal party matters.
