ADC Split As Peter Obi Under Pressure To Run As Atiku’s VP

 

The newly formed opposition coalition that adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as its platform is reportedly experiencing a significant split, with two major camps emerging around different presidential hopefuls. One faction is backing former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, while the other is rallying behind Peter Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State. Additionally, smaller groups are pushing for former Rivers State governor Chibuike Amaechi to emerge as the party’s presidential candidate in 2027.
