Bandits kill three, abduct many in fresh attacks on Katsina communities

Armed bandits have killed three people and abducted many others in separate attacks on two communities in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The attacks, which happened on Friday, were reported in a post on X by security analyst Bakatsine on Saturday.

According to the post, the first incident occurred in the Karfi community shortly after Juma’at prayers. One person was killed, and the attackers took away two others.

Just hours later, the bandits attacked again, this time in Layin Minister.

Two people were killed, several others were injured, and many residents were abducted during the second attack.

“Bandits attacked Karfi after Juma’at, killing one and abducting two. Hours later, they hit Layin Minister, killing two, injuring several, and abducting many.
All the communities are situated in Malumfashi LGA, Katsina State,” Bakatsine wrote.

The authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
