The Customs Area Controller of Tin Can Island Port Command, Comptroller Frank Onyeka, has praised the staff and pupils of Christ Assembly Nursery and Primary School, Ajegunle, Lagos, for taking good care of the facilities renovated by the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) three months ago.

During his visit to the school on Friday, October 24, 2025, Comptroller Onyeka said he was impressed by how well the school had maintained the renovated t.buildings and equipment “People often neglect things when they come from the government, but this school is different,” he said. “The toilets are still clean, the ICT room is in good condition, and the headteacher even bought covers for the laptops we provided. That’s really commendable.”

He also noted that the sick bay and library were well-maintained and actively being used by the pupils.

Comptroller Onyeka reaffirmed his commitment to community projects that make a lasting impact, in line with the policy of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, which focuses on collaboration, consolidation, and innovation.

“What we’re doing here is part of our innovation — showing that Customs can make a positive difference in communities,” he added.

The Education Secretary of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Remi Williams, also praised the Customs Command for returning to check on the project.

“It’s great to see them come back. Many people just finish a project and walk away, but they returned to make sure everything is working well. That shows true commitment,” Williams said.
