The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested more than 100 people, including popular nightclub owner Pretty Mike (Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu), during a raid on Proxy Night Club in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The raid, which began late Friday night and continued into the early hours of Saturday, followed intelligence reports of a planned drug party at the club.

In a related operation, NDLEA officers at Murtala Muhammed International Airport discovered 70 parcels of cocaine, weighing 3.6 kilograms, concealed in cocoa butter cream containers headed for London. The agency arrested a cargo agent, Lawal Olakunle, linked to the shipment, and later detained two main suspects — Deborah Ogunmuyide, a health worker, and Mutiu Adebiyi, a travel-agency CEO.

Elsewhere, NDLEA officers in Enugu stopped a 35-year-old Lesotho national, Lemena Mark, from exporting 103.59 grams of methamphetamine hidden in a Diabeta herbal coffee pack to the Philippines.

Across other states, NDLEA seized large quantities of drugs, including:

• 21,950 capsules of tramadol were found inside a water heater.

• 450,000 pills of tramadol and Exol-5 were recovered from a truck in Taraba.

• Cannabis and 275 litres of “skuchies” (a local drug drink) were seized in Lagos’ Ikorodu area.

• An AK-47 rifle and 1,746 rounds of ammunition were recovered in Zamfara.

The agency said these operations are part of Nigeria’s ongoing War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) campaign and urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
