Gentle De Yahoo’s Resurfacing Exposes the Lies of the Nigerian Army and big Southeast Politicians and their contribution to the havoc in southeast

Once again, the Nigerian Army and the Imo State Government have embarrassed themselves before the entire nation. How does an institution that constantly boasts about “successfully neutralizing unknown gunmen” explain the sudden resurfacing of Gentle De Yahoo—a man they publicly claimed had been killed?

Today, he is alive, visible, and active. His reappearance alone exposes a painful truth: many of the so-called “security successes” announced by the Nigerian Army and state governments are nothing more than false claims and media propaganda.

This is why many Nigerians no longer take official statements seriously. Too many lies. Too much deceit. Instead of honesty, we are fed press releases meant to impress the public and create the illusion that the government is working, while insecurity continues to worsen in the Southeast. Meanwhile, everything is conveniently blamed on IPOB.

An army that cannot tell the truth to its own people loses credibility. An army that lies about its operations cannot be trusted. And an army that repeatedly insults the intelligence of citizens should not expect respect or loyalty.

The resurfacing of Gentle De Yahoo is more than an embarrassment—it is confirmation that Nigerians have been deliberately misled. There are growing allegations that criminal groups are used to cause mayhem in the Southeast, only for the blame to be shifted to IPOB every time.
