The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has introduced strict preventive measures at all international airports following recent Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreaks in Central Africa.

Working with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) and Port Health Services, FAAN is intensifying surveillance and monitoring of passengers arriving from high-risk regions. All such travellers will be screened for Ebola symptoms, and any suspected cases will be isolated for further health checks in line with national and international protocols.

Although no cases have been confirmed in Nigeria, FAAN says it remains committed to public health and safe airport operations. Passengers are advised to stay calm, cooperate with screening procedures, and report any symptoms.
