PTML Customs Boss DC Miko Meets Terminal Operator, Freight Forwarders, Seeks Faster Cargo Clearance

The Acting Customs Area Controller of PTML Command, DC Nura Miko, has called for stronger teamwork between customs, terminal operators, and other stakeholders to improve cargo clearance operations.

During his visit to the Grimaldi/PTML Terminal in Lagos on June 2, 2026, Miko acknowledged the terminal’s achievements in cargo clearance efficiency, especially its record of clearing compliant RoRo imports within two hours. He urged all parties to build on this progress and push for even better results.

Miko stressed the importance of inclusive leadership, saying that everyone’s input matters in reaching shared goals. He called on stakeholders to work together to make cargo clearance faster and more efficient.

In response, PTML General Manager Tunde Keshinro assured the customs boss of the terminal’s continued support and collaboration with the Nigeria Customs Service.

During the visit, Miko also met with heads of other security agencies and representatives of freight forwarders. He restated his commitment to improving trade facilitation and boosting revenue performance at the command.
