President Bola Tinubu says his administration is building a new Nigeria aimed at shared prosperity for everyone.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Southern Parkway construction in Abuja, the President said the project will improve traffic flow and better connect districts in the capital. He noted that ongoing infrastructure upgrades will ease congestion for residents and boost economic activity.

Tinubu praised FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for his results-driven leadership.

In response, Wike announced that the Southern Parkway will be completed before the 2027 elections. He also addressed concerns about illegal land development along the road corridor.

The Southern Parkway is part of a wider effort to transform the Federal Capital Territory in line with the Abuja Master Plan.
