The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has officially introduced a Management Information System (MIS) File Tracker, marking a significant step in its ongoing efforts to modernise administrative operations through technology. The pilot rollout of the system has commenced at the PTML Area Command.

The MIS File Tracker is designed to function as an enterprise-level platform, consolidating various administrative functions under a Single Sign-On (SSO) application. By digitising file tracking and management, the system aims to reduce reliance on manual processes, improve operational transparency, and support data-driven decision-making within the service.

Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, underscored the initiative’s importance in the broader context of customs modernisation. Deputy Comptroller General Oluyomi Adebakin described the rollout as a meaningful step toward improving service delivery and enhancing transparency in customs operations.

Deputy Comptroller Nura Miko expressed confidence in the PTML Command’s ability to execute the initiative effectively. He noted that the system is expected to contribute to reducing cargo clearing times, reinforcing the command’s position as a leader in customs modernisation across Africa.
