Poco Lee Remanded in UK Prison Over Alleged Assault
Popular Nigerian dancer and hype man Iweh Odinaka, better known as Poco Lee, has been remanded in custody in the United Kingdom following an alleged assault.
Benjamin Kuti, founder of the Community of Nigerians in the UK (also known as Oluomo of Derby), confirmed the dancer’s detention in a statement shared on social media on August 24.
According to Kuti, Poco Lee is expected to appear at the Snaresbrook Crown Court in London in September for a plea hearing. Kuti also said he plans to attend the court session to offer support to the entertainer.
Reports about Poco Lee’s alleged arrest in the UK first started circulating online on August 19, though official details about the incident remain limited at this time.
