British-Nigerian businessman die after undergoing penis enlargement with his wife In Thailand
British-Nigerian businessman and influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, popularly known as Ego, has died after suffering complications from a penis enlargement procedure in Thailand.
The ocial media influencer has died after undergoing a penile filler procedure while on holiday in Thailand with his wife.
Igho Ubiribo, 43, died in March after receiving 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine at a clinic in Bangkok. An inquest at Inner West London Coroners’ Court heard the details last month.
According to the Daily Mail, Ubiribo began feeling chest pain and passed out twice while getting a massage with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, after the procedure.
He was rushed by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where doctors found a pulmonary embolism — a blood clot that blocks a vessel in the lungs. He lost consciousness again before a recommended CT scan could be done.
Resuscitation efforts lasted over 100 minutes, but Ubiribo died in the early hours of 6 March.
A post-mortem carried out in the UK found that cellular material in his lungs matched the hyaluronic acid used in the injection, supporting the cause of death as a pulmonary embolism.
Coroner Jean Harkin concluded that Ubiribo died “as the result of a cosmetic procedure abroad.”
Ubiribo, who had around 185,000 Instagram followers, was buried in London in May. Nigerian singer Davido was among those who attended his funeral.
Medical experts have long warned about the risks of penile filler treatments. Professor Vaibhav Modgil, an NHS andrology specialist, said the procedure can have devastating consequences for patients.
