Others, like Rauf Aregbesola, who faced expulsion from APC for anti-party activities, and veteran politicians like Kashim Imam and Chief John Odigie Oyegun—who have also shown disaffection—are seen as opportunists seeking relevance.

Onanuga advised Nigerians to be vigilant, asserting that a party without a clear ideology—founded solely on personal grievances—cannot be good for the nation.
