NNPCL Boss, Ojulari alleges plot to unseat him
Bayo Ojulari, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited, has alleged that there are plot to remove him from office, stating there were threats against him and the staff of the company.
He also assured that despite the threat, he remain committed to ensuring that the nation’s refinery is revived and made to work optimally.
He said, “I’m not hiding from anybody. I’m not a politician. I will have to learn a bit more about politics, but it’s a development plan for me, right? And I’m ready to learn.”
His remarks come weeks after reports claimed he was forced to resign by the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), an allegation denied by the agencies and the Presidency.
Ojulari reiterated that the company was working to restore the nation’s refineries to full capacity, an idea. that did not go down well with some people.
According to him, management is considering adopting the NLNG model as part of its strategy to ensure efficiency and sustainability.
Despite the threats, he emphasised his determination to see the turnaround process of the Nigerian refineries through to completion.
