Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has accused her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of harassment and intimidation, saying family members were arrested in an effort to force her back into rehabilitation and his home

In an emotional Instagram story shared on Monday, the 24-year-old star wrote that her “big brother” and “big sister” had been arrested and that her younger sister might be detained unless she returns home and “returns to rehab,” as Nwoko allegedly demands. “Someone please, help me! I feel like I’m losing my mind,” she wrote, adding that she will speak out in time about what she claims he put her through.

Daniels also accused the senator of smearing her reputation by calling her a drug addict. “You said I’m a drug addict… A prostitute? But I will speak one day and tell the world of your involvement with everything! Leave my family alone, Ned! And leave me alone too!” she wrote, lamenting the collapse of their relationship and the public humiliation it has brought. “This is so freaking embarrassing! Hard girl like me crying,” she added.

The allegations follow a viral video that surfaced online on October 18, 2025, in which Regina is heard saying she cannot stand the violence she says she endured in the marriage. The clip—showing at least one man holding a stick—prompted widespread concern and discussion about possible domestic abuse.

Senator Nwoko responded publicly on his verified X account on October 19, 2025, denying he ever assaulted Daniels and accusing her of struggling with drug and alcohol abuse that, he says, has caused erratic and violent behaviour. In a statement titled “Regina’s Unprovoked Carnage and Rampage in My House and in My Absence,” the lawmaker alleged Daniels assaulted staff, vandalised property and endangered lives during recent incidents.

Nwoko, who is married to six women, said none of his other wives had accused him of violence and claimed he had set a condition that Regina continue a rehabilitation programme—either in Asokoro or abroad (he named Jordan)—where, he said, she would have less access to substances. He also alleged a nurse exposed her substance use and identified Regina’s brother, “Sammy,” as her main supplier.

Regina’s brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman—known as Sammy West—responded with a forceful Instagram post accusing the senator of physically assaulting his sister. “Anywhere wey man dey beat woman… I go fight with my blood,” he wrote, adding he would not tolerate violence against her.

The matter has sparked intense public debate, with both sides making serious claims. Further developments are expected as legal and social responses continue to unfold.
