Abia Youths Reportedly Apprehend Over 30 Armed Suspects in Forest
Local reports from Abia State indicate that a group of community youths has apprehended more than 30 suspected armed men in a forest area. The individuals were allegedly found with AK-47 rifles, explosives, and materials believed to be used in making explosive devices.
According to eyewitness accounts, the Abia youths—who were not carrying guns or advanced weapons—mobilized quickly, pursued the suspects, and overpowered them. The weapons recovered were reportedly seized during the operation.
Witnesses say the suspects panicked as the youths approached, leading to their swift arrest.
One of the youths involved stated:
“We don’t need guns to defend our community. Our unity and determination are stronger than any weapon.”
Another youth added:
“Anyone who comes into our forests to cause harm will be stopped. We are not afraid. This is our land.”enough of coming into our land to perpetuate evil and tag us to be evil
