He added that the said bill is not before the lawmakers and is not under consideration before the House.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe Committees on Rules and Business and Constitution Review have confirmed that there is no such bill before them<\/em>,\u201d he told Punch in a telephone conversation.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, the Chairman, House Committee on Rules and Business,\u00a0<strong>Francis Waive<\/strong>, said the bill is not before the committee.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-20\">\n<div class=\"c-ad \">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-4577410-5\" data-google-query-id=\"CMqZm_XjuYYDFf1h9ggdyFcIJw\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/18855965\/In_content4_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>He said,\u00a0<em>\u201cThere are two routes to making presentations for constitutional amendments. One is by members proposing an amendment bill during the plenary. The second is by memoranda from individuals and groups to the Constitution Review Committee<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cPlease, note that memoranda submitted should eventually come by way of bills sponsored by a member of the committee.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cOn this specific memo (draft bill) under reference, I doubt if it has come before the Rules and Business Committee for listing.
