President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday evening returned to Abuja after concluding a state visit to the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n

The President\u2019s aircraft, Nigeria Air Force One, landed at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 8:55 p.m.<\/p>\n

He was received on arrival by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun; and the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle.<\/p>\n

President Tinubu\u2019s visit to Ankara featured a series of high-level diplomatic and strategic engagements aimed at strengthening Nigeria\u2019s bilateral relations with T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n

During the trip, the President held bilateral talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, alongside meetings with senior government officials and leaders of T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s defence industry.
\nThe engagements underscored Nigeria\u2019s renewed diplomatic push, with key outcomes including T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s reaffirmed commitment to deepen cooperation with Nigeria in security, military training and intelligence sharing, particularly in support of Nigeria\u2019s fight against insurgency.<\/p>\n

Both countries also reiterated their resolve to expand economic relations, reaffirming a shared target of achieving a $5 billion trade volume, signalling stronger commercial and investment ties.<\/p>\n
