A newlywed woman, Habiba Ibrahim, was said to have allegedly cut off the manhood of her 40-year-old husband, Salisu Idris.<\/p>\n
Reason\u00a0 for her action yet o be ascertain our correspondent gathered.<\/p>\n
However, she was reportedly arrested by the police in the Zaria area of Kaduna State.<\/p>\n
The sad incident happened on May 26 after the husband returned from the mosque where he observed the early morning Muslim prayers.<\/p>\n

Narrating his ordeal, Idris, who\u2019s a commercial motorcycle rider, explained that as he was lying on his bed, his wife suddenly pounced on him with a sharp knife and almost cut off his manhood.<\/p>\n
He, however, said that for the timely intervention of his neighbour, Habiba, who he married four years ago, would have succeeded in cutting off his manhood completely am shocked by my wife\u2019s action he siad.<\/p>\n
Idris narrated further that can cant remember any misunderstanding before by his wife\u2019s action.<\/p>\n
It was gathered that Idris was immediately rushed to General Hospital, Makarfi from where he was later referred to the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria for medical attention.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m more concerned about my health right now and not thinking of remarrying shortly,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Idris\u2019 mother, Rabi Salisu, who looks after him on the hospital bed, said he had never complained to her about his wife.<\/p>\n
\u201cHer parents are worried and are willing to settle his medical bills,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
The Kaduna State Command\u2019s Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansur Hassan, could not be reached for comments as his telephone indicated that he wasn\u2019t reachable.<\/p>\n
