Residents of\u00a0Nyamgo Gyel<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0Jos South Local Government Area, Plateau State,<\/strong>\u00a0are demanding urgent action after an attack in their community left\u00a0three people dead<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0one other person injured<\/strong>. and an inhuman act by Nigerian soldiers.<\/p>\n

According to reports, the victims were ambushed at about\u00a07 p.m.<\/strong>\u00a0as they returned from\u00a0Gero<\/strong>\u00a0after visiting a mining site. The attack was reportedly carried out with a\u00a0motorbike<\/strong>, and the residents say the incident quickly sparked anger and fear in the area.<\/p>\n

The names of those killed were given as\u00a0Luka Pam (36)<\/strong>,\u00a0Samuel Davou (38)<\/strong>, and\u00a0Deme Saidu (35)<\/strong>. The community also alleged that this latest violence followed earlier fears that security measures had been insufficient when they previously raised complaints.<\/p>\n

Residents say their frustration has been building\u2014especially after claims that soldiers detained people and demanded money over the death of a cow. They now argue that while they have been pressured to \u201cpay\u201d for certain incidents, they feel the same level of seriousness has not been shown when people in the community are attacked and killed.<\/p>\n

A youth leader in the community also made wider allegations about insecurity, including claims that\u00a0Fulani herders restrict access to ancestral land<\/strong>. He said daily life has become harder and more dangerous, with even women and young people moving cautiously to avoid being caught up in violence.<\/p>\n

The leader warned that the community\u2019s patience is running out and urged\u00a0state and federal authorities<\/strong>\u00a0and security agencies to intervene urgently. He stressed that residents want protection and accountability, not more delays after killings.<\/p>\n
