Eyewitnesses reported hearing gunshots near the National Stadium Bridge. Officers later found Agali with gunshot wounds inside an unregistered Mercedes-Benz.<\/p>\n<p>He was taken to Mainland General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>Police also said an unregistered Ford Edge was found abandoned at the scene. Investigators are now working to identify and track down those responsible.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>Why he may have been targeted. Reports suggest the killing may be linked to cult rivalries. There are also concerns that it could involve political motives connected to upcoming local elections.<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><strong><em>Family takes possession of the body. After the incident, the victim\u2019s family took possession of his body. They were reported as not seeking legal action at the time of the report.<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h2>Separate warning on online job scams<\/h2>\n<p>In a related update, Lagos State Police also confirmed a robbery incident involving job seekers.
