The initiative was disclosed by Kingsley Igwe, the Registrar of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN).<\/p>\n<p>The framework aims to standardise pricing for key services like haulage and customs clearance. It seeks to bring more predictability and transparency to a sector where pricing has long been opaque and inconsistent.<\/p>\n<p>According to Igwe, the proposal is currently under review by the Ministry. The goal is to benchmark Nigeria&#8217;s logistics sector against global best practices, drawing from the World Trade Organisation&#8217;s recommendations on standardising logistics costs.<\/p>\n<p>He also highlighted the financial struggles faced by freight agents under the current system. Unpredictable costs often misrepresent their earnings and push them into debt.
