He gave this directive during the command’s monthly parade on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the headquarters in Apapa, Lagos.<\/p>\n
Oshoba called for stronger oversight at the terminals to stop revenue leakages while ensuring smooth trade and prompt cargo clearance.<\/p>\n
“Officers must protect the reputation of the Service. Any delay by any officer concerning any consignment will not be tolerated,” he said. “If a consignment is cleared, there should be no delay at the gates.”<\/p>\n
He also reminded officers to be accessible and professional when dealing with stakeholders.<\/p>\n
“You must make yourself accessible to our stakeholders and avoid actions that could damage the good image of the Service,” Oshoba added.<\/p>\n
He warned officers to stay alert against smuggling, especially of illicit drugs and prohibited items, and cautioned against misconduct and poor dressing.<\/p>\n
