The governorship candidates of two political parties in Taraba State have pushed back against a Federal High Court ruling that ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to deregister their parties.<\/p>\n
Professor Jerome Nyameh of the Accord Party and Alhaji Abubakar Tutare of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) dismissed the ruling, which alleged their parties failed to meet statutory requirements.<\/p>\n
Both candidates stressed that the ruling is a first-instance decision and is subject to appeal. They noted that higher courts, including the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, remain available to resolve the matter.<\/p>\n
