Suspected bandits have killed nine people and injured eleven others in Unguwar Magaji community, located in the Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.<\/p>\n

The spokesperson for the Irigwe Youth Movement, Joseph Yonkpa, confirmed the incident on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Initial information suggested that two people were killed in the attack.<\/p>\n

However, Yonkpa stated that subsequent search and recovery operations led to the discovery of seven additional bodies, raising the total death toll to nine.<\/p>\n

The attackers were said to have used firearms during the assault and also targeted children with machetes, leaving the residents deeply traumatised.<\/p>\n

The victims who lost their lives were identified as Jerry Doctor, Danlami Magani, Sunday Chibi, Rita Abdullahi, Sunday Elkan, Esther Kefas, Happy Friday, Moses Daddy, and Daddy Ibrahim.<\/p>\n

Those who sustained injuries were identified as Halla Monday, Mary Yohanna, Jummai John, Charity Danjuma, Faith Yakubu, Omi Yakubu, Ali Sandiye, Asabe Victor, Srarina Simon, Talatu Sunday, and ThankGod Danladi.<\/p>\n

At the time of filing this report, the Kaduna State Police Command has not issued any statement on the incident.<\/p>\n
