Ebelechukwu Nwachukwu has made history as the first female Chairman of the Nigeria Insurers Association (NIA) in its 55-year existence. Nwachukwu, who currently serves as the Managing Director of Rex Insurance, brings a wealth of experience to the role. Before her current position, she held executive roles in several insurance companies, building a reputation that made her appointment widely celebrated across the industry.<\/p>\n
At the heart of her agenda for the association is what she calls the “A.C.E Agenda” \u2014 a plan focused on enhancing public awareness about insurance, building industry capacity, and enforcing regulatory compliance. These three pillars aim to address long-standing challenges that have held back the growth of Nigeria’s insurance sector.<\/p>\n
The Commissioner for Insurance, Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, who was present at the event, spoke about the importance of trust, compliance, and innovation in transforming the industry. He expressed strong confidence in Nwachukwu’s leadership and her plans for the association.<\/p>\n
