A 25-year-old woman, Temitope Adetanju, has been arrested for allegedly inserting a piece of firewood into the vagina of a 12-year-old girl in Isewo, Obada Oko, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.<\/h4>\n

The incident reportedly occurred after the girl, whose name has been withheld, stole a biscuit worth \u20a6200, Milo worth \u20a6150, and Mr. Fruit worth \u20a6300.<\/p>\n

According to reports, the child was subjected to severe physical torture by her guardian, Adetanju, due to her stealing habit.<\/p>\n

Confirming the incident, the Ogun State police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, said it happened around 11:00 am on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Adetanju was arrested by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Obada-Oko.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn June 13, 2024, Temitope Adetanju, a 25-year-old woman, was arrested by the DPO in Obada-Oko, Ogun State, for allegedly inserting a sizable piece of firewood into the private part of a 12-year-old girl, accusing her of stealing a biscuit worth \u20a6200, Milo worth \u20a6150, and Mr. Fruit worth \u20a6300,\u201d Odutola stated.<\/p>\n

She explained that upon receiving the information, officers from the Juvenile Welfare Centre were deployed to apprehend the suspect, Temitope Adetanju.<\/p>\n

Odutola further stated that the suspect admitted to the accusations against her.<\/p>\n

Investigations are ongoing to ensure that all aspects of the incident are thoroughly examined.<\/p>\n
