A community in Oke Ogba, Akure, the Ondo State capital, is in mourning after three siblings tragically died last weekend.<\/p>\n
The children have been identified as Joshua Jonah, 11, his twin brother Jacob Jonah, 11, and their five-year-old sister Blessing Jonah. Their bodies were found on their father’s farm near a stream.<\/p>\n
According to reports, the children went to the farm with their father, Samuel Jonah, on Friday. They later left the farm to head home while their father stayed behind to keep working. But when Mr Jonah got home a few hours later, he couldn’t find the children anywhere.<\/p>\n
The family immediately began searching for them. Their bodies were finally discovered on Saturday, near the bank of a small river inside the farm.<\/p>\n
So far, the cause of death is still unknown.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, confirmed the loss. He said the children accompanied their father to the farm and later left for home, but were found missing when he returned. A search was carried out, and on 5th September 2026 the bodies of the three children were found along the riverbank within the farm.<\/p>\n
Jimoh added that the bodies have since been taken by the father for burial. Police are still documenting the case and investigating what led to the children’s deaths.<\/p>\n
