{"id":1501,"date":"2024-07-03T17:48:15","date_gmt":"2024-07-03T17:48:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beadysword.com.ng\/blog\/?p=1501"},"modified":"2024-07-03T17:48:22","modified_gmt":"2024-07-03T17:48:22","slug":"i-cant-do-it-alone-tinubu-declares","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/beadysword.com.ng\/blog\/2024\/07\/03\/i-cant-do-it-alone-tinubu-declares\/","title":{"rendered":"I Can\u2019t Do It Alone \u2013 Tinubu Declares"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-body-top\" class=\"left relative\">\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\" class=\"left relative\">\n<h2>The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, has called for synergized efforts among all arms of government and other stakeholders in the task of building a prosperous Nigeria.<\/h2>\n<p>The President, who spoke on Wednesday through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume\u00a0 at the first-ever Legislative Open organised by the House of Representatives, declared that the task of building a strong and united Nigeria rests on the shoulders of not only the executive arm, but also the legislative and judicial arms of government.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-3\">\n<div id=\"v-naijanews-v1-0\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<div id=\"_vdo_ads_player_ai_24752\" class=\"vdo_video_unit vdo_content\">\n<div id=\"vdo_logo_parent\">\n<div>\n<div aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Tinubu expressed the readiness of his administration to cooperate and collaborate with other arms of government and stakeholders in building a better Nigeria everyone would be proud of.<\/p>\n<p>He challenged the lawmakers to engage in robust oversight of the activities of government as a way of carrying out its check and balance function to ensure accountability, while ensuring that corrections are made where the need arises.<\/p>\n<p>He also reminded the lawmakers of the need to organize regular town hall meetings with the people they represent in Abuja so everyone can make a contribution to governance.<\/p>\n<p>President Tinubu asked the lawmakers to focus on representative democracy, which he said promotes inclusivity, accountability and good governance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, has called for synergized efforts among all arms of government and other stakeholders in the task of building a prosperous Nigeria.
