{"id":1774,"date":"2024-07-14T11:28:11","date_gmt":"2024-07-14T11:28:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beadysword.com.ng\/blog\/?p=1774"},"modified":"2024-07-14T11:28:23","modified_gmt":"2024-07-14T11:28:23","slug":"real-reason-gov-yusuf-reinstated-sanusi-as-emir-of-kano-kwankwaso","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/beadysword.com.ng\/blog\/2024\/07\/14\/real-reason-gov-yusuf-reinstated-sanusi-as-emir-of-kano-kwankwaso\/","title":{"rendered":"Real Reason Gov Yusuf Reinstated Sanusi As Emir Of Kano \u2013 Kwankwaso"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-body-top\" class=\"left relative\">\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\" class=\"left relative\">\n<h3>The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Rabiu kwnakwaso has explained why the Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, reinstated Muhammad Sanusi as Emir of Kano.<\/h3>\n<p>Yusuf reinstated Sanusi of Emir of Kano after dethroning Aminu Ado Bayero as the 15th Emir<\/p>\n<p>His action followed the repeal of the 2019 Kano Emirate Law by the state House of Assembly.<\/p>\n<p>Featuring on Arise News Prime Time, Kwankwaso stated that Governor Yusuf\u00a0reinstated Sanusi as Emir in fulfilment of his campaign promises to the people of the state.<\/p>\n<p>Kwankwaso said they have no regrets about Yusuf\u2019s decision to reinstate Sanusi.<\/p>\n<p>He said,<em>\u00a0\u201cIt was a campaign issue. Don\u2019t forget that Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was installed in 2014 by our government.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cMy Deputy who became governor decided in his wisdom to divide Kano into five emirates. What many people don\u2019t remember is that it was tried by the Rimi government during the Second Republic.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt was our position, our belief that Kano should continue as one solid traditional institution. That was what we believed in.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSo, during our campaign, the governor went round to tell the people that if they voted for him, Kano would return to being one solid traditional institution, of course with support from the other emirates.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThat is why when he was sworn-in, he started a process of consultation.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cBut for one year, the governor carried out due consultations and decided to follow due process through the State House of Assembly and Sanusi was reinstated.
