relative\">\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\" class=\"left relative\">\n<p>The Bauchi Emirate Council has revoked the traditional title of Senator Shehu Buba Umar representing Bauchi South senatorial district in the National Assembly for allegedly \u2018insulting and criticizing\u2019 the State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed.<\/p>\n<p>The Buba of the All Progressive Congress, APC, who holds the title of the \u2018Mandarin Bauchi\u2019, at a press briefing held last week, accused Governor Mohammed of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, of diverting palliative items provided by the APC-led federal government.<\/p>\n<p>The Senator was reacting to the governor\u2019s criticism of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu\u2019s policies.<\/p>\n<p>He claimed that essential supplies like rice, corn, and fertilizer meant to alleviate economic hardship in the state were allegedly sold by the state government instead of being distributed to the people.<\/p>\n<p>However, in the letter dated August 14, 2024, and signed by Nasiru Musa on behalf of the Emirate Council\u2019s secretary, the Council stated that the title withdrawal followed a council meeting held on Wednesday, where Senator Umar\u2019s alleged misconduct was discussed.<\/p>\n<p>The council subsequently resolved to remove him from his traditional role within the emirate, stating that such behaviour contradicted the values and
