In a landmark achievement for Nigeria\u2019s energy sector, the Dangote Refinery, a $20 billion project led by billionaire industrialist\u00a0\u00a0Aliko Dangote has officially started producing petrol.<\/h2>\n

This development is expected to significantly ease the ongoing petrol scarcity that has plagued the country, providing much-needed relief to millions of Nigerians.<\/p>\n

During a press briefing on Wednesday, Dangote expressed his gratitude to the government of President Bola Tinubu for creating an environment that allowed the refinery project to come to fruition.<\/p>\n

He highlighted the potential impact of the refinery on the nation\u2019s economy and energy security.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis refinery will fuel growth, development, and prosperity by supplying energy to our people.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI salute the people of Nigeria and President Bola Tinubu\u2019s government for creating the conditions that allowed us to achieve this monumental task. This refinery will drive growth, development, and prosperity by providing energy to our people<\/em>,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Dangote stated.<\/p>\n

He further praised the Tinubu administration\u2019s \u201cNaira for crude, Naira for product\u201d initiative, which he believes will stabilize the Naira by reducing the demand for dollars by 40%.<\/p>\n
