{"id":2721,"date":"2024-09-26T19:50:29","date_gmt":"2024-09-26T19:50:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beadysword.com.ng\/blog\/?p=2721"},"modified":"2024-09-26T19:50:29","modified_gmt":"2024-09-26T19:50:29","slug":"bobrisky-fg-suspends-senior-prisons-officers-full-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/beadysword.com.ng\/blog\/2024\/09\/26\/bobrisky-fg-suspends-senior-prisons-officers-full-list\/","title":{"rendered":"Bobrisky: FG Suspends Senior Prisons Officers (Full List)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-body-top\" class=\"left relative\">\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\" class=\"left relative\">\n<h2>The Federal Government, on Thursday, suspended the officers in charge of the Maximum and Minimum Custodial Centres, Kirikiri, Lagos State.<\/h2>\n<p>The decision was taken after an audio leak indicating that crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky who was convicted of a crime and sentenced to six months in jail was given an apartment outside the custodial centre.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-3\">\n<div id=\"v-naijanews-v1-0\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<div id=\"_vdo_ads_player_ai_24752\" class=\"vdo_video_unit vdo_floating\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, CDCFIB, Ja\u2019afaru Ahmed disclosed this in a statement released in Abuja.1<\/p>\n<p>Ahmed in the statement said the suspension of the officers is to allow for further investigation on the various allegations, assuring that the outcome would be made public when concluded.<\/p>\n<p>He said,\u00a0<em>\u201cFollowing the viral video trending on social media on alleged infractions by Officers of the Nigerian Correctional Service relating to Mr Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has suspended the following Senior Officers of the Service immediately.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cMichael Anugwa, Deputy Controller of Corrections (DCC), In-Charge of Medium Security Custodial Centre (MSCC), Kiri-kiri, Lagos State; and Sikiru Adekunle, Deputy Controller of Corrections (DCC), In-Charge of Maximum-Security Custodial Centre (MSCC), Kiri-kiri, Lagos State.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAlso, the Board has suspended ASC II Ogbule Samuel Obinna, serving at the Medium Security Custodial Centre (MSCC), Afikpo, Ebonyi State, for allegedly accompanying a convicted inmate out of the Custodial Centre to a location outside the facility.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIn another related development, the Board has equally suspended another Senior Officer of the Service, Iloafonsi Kevin Ikechukwu, Deputy Controller of Corrections (DCC), In-Charge of Medium Security Custodial Centre (MSCC), Kuje- Abuja, for allegedly receiving monies on behalf of an inmate.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mvp-cont-read-wrap\">\n<div id=\"mvp-post-bot-ad\" class=\"left relative\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Federal Government, on Thursday, suspended the officers in charge of the Maximum and Minimum Custodial Centres, Kirikiri, Lagos State.
