Former Governor Yahaya Bello has arrived at the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Maitama, where he is expected to take his plea over a 110-billion fraud allegation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The former governor, alongside Umar Oricha and Abdulsalami Hudu, are being prosecuted as 1st to 3rd defendants, respectively, in a fresh 110 billion Naira 16-count charge instituted against them by the EFCC.<\/p>\n

At the last hearing, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission sought adjournment because there is a 30-day window still running for the summons earlier issued by the court, urging the court to extend for Bello to appear before the court.<\/p>\n

However, the other defendants, Umar Oricha and Abdulsalami Hudu, have been given administrative bail by the EFCC, which they still enjoy.<\/p>\n

Bello is also facing 80.2 Billion Naira Fraud Allegation charges before the federal high court which had been adjourned several times on instance of Bello\u2019s absence in court.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
