The National Chairman of the Action Democratic Party, Yabagi Yusuf Sani, has alleged that President Bola Tinubu is being used as a shield in the corruption going on in the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL.<\/p>\n

Sani, a former presidential candidate, claimed that recent discoveries coming out of the Central Bank of Nigeria were child\u2019s play compared to what was going on in the NNPC, lamenting that no one seems to care.<\/p>\n

In an interview on Channels Television, Sani, Energy and Crude oil expert, called on President Tinubu to act as fast as he could, insisting that Nigerians would not continue to fold their hands and watch.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe running of the Petroleum industry in Nigeria is as bad as it can be. The report you\u2019re talking about reported that in six months we lost 1.5 billion dollars.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is a conservative figure that the Obaseki Committee, set up by the NEC came up with\u2026it\u2019s more than that,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

He further alleged \u201cMy regret is that I don\u2019t know how they got Mr President to become the shield of the NNPC rot.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you know what you will get when you probe the NNPC? This is a joke \u2018what you are getting from the CBN\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomebody should tell Mr President, it is high time we beamed the searchlight on NNPC. We cannot be taken for a ride for so long.\u201d<\/p>\n
