The Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has declared that President Bola Tinubu\u2019s \u2018poorly-implemented reforms\u2019 were pushing millions of Nigerians deeper into poverty<\/p>\n

The PDP BoT also expressed dismay over the decision of the party\u2019s National Working Committee, NWC, to postpone the National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting for three consecutive times.<\/p>\n

Chairman of the BoT, Senator Adolphus Wabara, spoke for the Board in his opening remarks at the ongoing emergency meeting held at the party\u2019s National Secretariat, in Abuja.<\/p>\n

Recall that the NWC announced a third consecutive postponement of the NEC meeting, the latest being one which was supposed to be held on November 28 2024 2024<\/p>\n

Wabara noted that the decision of the Amb. Umar Damagum-led NWC to continuously postpone such a crucial meeting erodes the confidence of party members.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn the national front, the harsh economic policies of the (President Bola) Tinubu administration have exacerbated the suffering of Nigerians.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe skyrocketing cost of living, coupled with poorly implemented economic reforms, has pushed millions into deeper poverty.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe promises of economic relief have proven hollow, leaving families struggling to make ends meet.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur party must rise to this occasion by offering credible alternatives and amplifying the voices of the suffering masses.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet us reaffirm our commitment to the values of fairness, equity, and prosperity for all Nigerians.<\/p>\n

\u201cInternally, we must put our house in order. I want to use this platform to call for unity among our PDP governors.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe strength of our party lies in our collective resolve, not in individual pursuits. We cannot afford to let personal ambitions or differences overshadow our shared vision for a better Nigeria.
\n\u201cOur governors are the bedrock of the PDP\u2019s successes across states, and their synergy is vital for our collective progress.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet us prioritize dialogue, collaboration, and a sense of shared responsibility as we navigate these trying times.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe BoT will be relentless in seeking peace and unity in our party as the conscience of PDP.\u201d<\/p>\n
