Former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido has accused President Bola Tinubu of lying to Nigerians about the country\u2019s actual situation and his administration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Lamido made the accusations while featuring on the BBC Hausa service program \u2018Gane Mini Hanya\u2019.<\/p>\n

Lamido, a chieftain of the People\u2019s Democratic Party (PDP), faulted\u00a0President Tinubu<\/strong>\u2019s loan requests, lamenting that what the government is telling Nigerians is different from what it is executing.<\/p>\n

Referring to last year\u2019s budget, he said, \u201cIf Nigerians are being told the truth then there is nothing wrong with that, but how would you budget N30tn, generate N50tn and then request a loan when you have a surplus of N20tn?<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cThis recklessness and clear-cut selfishness is not done anywhere in the world, but yet you find (some) Nigerians supporting it. Visit social media and see how APC is being criticised, being referred to as calamity, yet you find some protecting it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Lamido also accused former\u00a0President Muhammadu Buhari<\/strong>\u00a0of not being transparent with Nigerians during his time.<\/p>\n

According to him, Buhari and Tinubu\u2019s administrations prioritised propaganda rather than telling Nigerians the actual state of the nation, unlike during the PDP\u2019s government.<\/p>\n

He added,\u00a0\u201cBuhari\u2019s and Tinubu\u2019s governments are not being transparent with Nigerians unlike during the time when PDP was in power where everything was transparent and open to all Nigerians.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cBut with the coming of Buhari, deception and propaganda became tools for running the government.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
