The Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has expressed optimism that the activities of the notorious terrorist and bandit leader, Bello Turji, would soon be a thing of the past.
\nThe governor, who made the expression on Wednesday during an interview on Channels TV, said the days of the dreaded terrorist are numbered.<\/p>\n
Governor Lawal expressed confidence in the Nigerian Armed Forces, stating that the ongoing onslaught against criminal elements would yield good fruits by eliminating them from the country.<\/p>\n
\u201dI believe [killing] Bello Turji is a matter of time, his days are numbered because I can see the commitment from the Armed Forces in terms of taking Bello Turji out.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am confident and optimistic and I believe that the Armed Forces also are ready to take him out,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Durji had claimed responsibility for a series of deadly attacks in Zamfara and its neighbouring states.<\/p>\n
