Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke, has raised the alarm, calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to call his alleged nephew and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, to order over the controversy surrounding the Appeal Court verdict on sacked local government chairmen in the state.<\/p>\n

The governor, in a statement on Sunday, said Oyetola is allegedly issuing illegal directives to security operatives to create chaos and anarchy in the state \u201cbecause he is the nephew of Mr. President.\u201d<\/p>\n

Continuing, Governor Adeleke said the minister is in active collaboration with the Osun state Commissioner of Police, the Osun state Director of DSS, and the State Commandant of the Civil Defense Corps to enforce \u201cnon-existing court judgment on our local governments.\u201d<\/p>\n

While describing Tinubu as a true democrat, a lover of the rule of law, and a believer in the sanctity of the judicial process, he stated \u201cI know that Mr. President will never authorise a dictatorial violation of the constitution irrespective of who is involved. It is crucial to add that Mr President will never support any action that is capable of generating bloodbath and bloodshed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI, however, regret to inform Mr President and the public that Mr Gboyega Oyetola has concluded an arrangement to cause mayhem in Osun state starting from Monday. He is issuing illegal directives to security operatives to enforce illegality simply because he is the nephew of Mr. President. I chose to alert the nation before my people were killed or maimed by a minister dropping the name of Mr President in connivance with the Osun state security operatives obeying unlawful orders.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe bone of contention is the brazen effrontery to return to office council chairmen sacked by a subsisting court Judgment using a different court decision, which has no consequential order,\u201d the statement partly reads.<\/p>\n

The governor added that contrary to \u201cthe lies being peddled,\u201d the council chairmen were sacked through an executive order before he was sworn in.<\/p>\n
