Award-winning investigative journalist David Hundeyin has revealed that activist Deji Adeyanju and the leader of the #RevolutionNow Movement, Omoyele Sowore, are \u201ccontrolled opposition\u201d posing as social change advocates while being funded by foreign foundations.<\/p>\n
Hundeyin claimed in response to a post by Adeyanju, who had compared his influence to that of Sowore. Adeyanju had written, \u201cIt will take David Hundeyin 25 years to get to Omoyele Sowore\u2019s level sha forget Twitter retweets and obidients support. These things take time. It\u2019s like me trying to compete with human rights lawyers who have been around for decades. But the work David does is amazing, so SOWORE.\u201d<\/p>\n
In his response, Hundeyin dismissed any comparison, arguing that neither he nor Sowore had electoral value, adding that both men would struggle to win even a local ward election.<\/p>\n Hundeyin claimed that while Sowore still had years to reach his level of journalism and geopolitical understanding, he himself was already recognized by foreign entities as a major adversary in West Africa\u2019s information space.<\/p>\n His words, \u201cIf you\u2019re referring to how long it will take me to collect $1.3m grants from front organisations linked to hostile foreign intelligence agencies, then it will even take me 100 years because I\u2019m not interested.<\/p>\n \u201cIf it\u2019s about electoral value, both Sowore and I have zero. Neither of us can win ward chairman in the place we were born.<\/p>\n \u201cIf it\u2019s about being a journalist that works with national interest and a keen understanding of geopolitics in mind, then he\u2019s the one who has 25 years to catch up with me, because I\u2019m the one who is officially recognised by Nigeria\u2019s enemies as their prime enemy in West Africa\u2019s information space.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cBy the way, both you and he are referenced in the same document below the line as part of that tiny yellow dot marked \u201csocial change advocates,\u201d i.e, controlled opposition.
