Armed bandits killed eight people and abducted several others in an attack on a trailer loaded with food items at Matashayi Zaki community, along Dansadau\/Gusau road.<\/p>\n
The bandits stormed the area at about 6:00 pm after military escorts had left the trailer behind.<\/p>\n
Report has it that no vehicle can move along Dansadau\/Gusau axis without military escorts. However, it was learnt that the military escorts do not wait for any vehicle that delays their movement.<\/p>\n
It was also gathered that the military personnel are collecting a huge amount of money from people to escort them to Gusau or from Dansadau, because of the dangerous nature of the road.<\/p>\n
One Ishiaku Muhammad said the villagers were losing a lot due to the money they pay to the military escorts for security.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have no option, because we are afraid of the bandits, and the army authorities claimed they have installed a military station at Dansadau but there has been no positive effect,\u201d he lamented.<\/p>\n
Serious attack by the bandits on Dansadau\/Gusau road forced the Federal Government to establish a military station in Dansadau town to reduce the movement of the bandits, yet the military presence had not stopped the attacks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
