Yakubu Pam and Rev. Joseph Hayab over the leadership Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in the 19 Northern States is causing confusion, division, and embarrassment to the Christian community.<\/p>\n<p>The group said this while calling on the National President of the CAN Archbishop Daniel Okoh, to intervene in the lingering leadership crisis.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-container margin-top margin-bottom\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The CMF, in a statement signed by its Secretary, Andrew Mshelia, issued to journalists in Kaduna on Monday said: \u201cWe urge the warring factions to sheathe their swords and give peace a chance as it is our firm belief that the Christian community should be a beacon of hope, love, and unity, rather than a symbol of division and strife.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis appeal is made with a deep sense of concern and responsibility to promote peace and unity within the Christian community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a body of Christian media practitioners, we are deeply troubled by the unnecessary leadership tussle that has generated embarrassment not only to CAN but also to the Christian faith in general.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe that this crisis has lingered for far too long and has caused significant damage to the reputation of the Church.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-container margin-top margin-bottom\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201d This crisis has caused confusion, division, and embarrassment to the Christian community, and it is our sincere hope that Archbishop Okoh\u2019s intervention will bring an end to this crisis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs Christians, we are called to live in peace and harmony with one another as the Bible in 1 Peter 3:8 teaches us to \u201clive in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble.<\/p>\n<div class=\"related-article\">\n<ul>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe urge the warring factions to embrace this biblical principle and work towards a peaceful resolution of the crisis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe CMF is committed to promoting peace, unity, and understanding within the Christian community.<\/p>\n<p>*We believe that a united and peaceful Christian community is essential for the spread of the Gospel and the advancement of God\u2019s kingdom,\u201d Mshelia said.<\/p>\n<p>He appealed to Okoh to use his good offices to bring the warring factions together and facilitate a peaceful resolution of the crisis.<\/p>\n<p>Mshelia ddded, \u201cWe are confident that his intervention will bring an end to this crisis and restore peace and unity to the Christian community.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-container margin-top margin-bottom\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The group also urged the warring factions to be open-minded and willing to compromise, adding, \u201cwe believe that a peaceful resolution of the crisis is possible if all parties are willing to work together in the interest of peace and unity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we await the intervention of Archbishop Okoh, we pray that God will grant us the wisdom, courage, and strength to work towards a peaceful resolution of the crisis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are confident that with God\u2019s guidance and direction, we will overcome this crisis and emerge stronger and more united than ever before.\u201d (NAN)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-container\"><\/div>\n<div tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\" aria-label=\"Load more\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A group, Christian Media Forum (CMF) has said the battle between Rev.
