{"id":5103,"date":"2025-03-28T10:04:50","date_gmt":"2025-03-28T10:04:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beadysword.com.ng\/blog\/?p=5103"},"modified":"2025-03-31T10:05:12","modified_gmt":"2025-03-31T10:05:12","slug":"efcc-declares-sanwo-olus-paramour-aisha-achimugu-wanted-for-money-laundering-as-tinubu-zeroes-in-on-atiku-obi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/beadysword.com.ng\/blog\/2025\/03\/28\/efcc-declares-sanwo-olus-paramour-aisha-achimugu-wanted-for-money-laundering-as-tinubu-zeroes-in-on-atiku-obi\/","title":{"rendered":"EFCC Declares Sanwo-Olu\u2019s Paramour Aisha Achimugu Wanted For Money Laundering As Tinubu Zeroes In On Atiku, Obi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has declared socialite Aisha Achimugu, Governor Sanwo-Olu Babajide\u2019s ally, wanted for alleged money laundering.<\/p>\n<div class=\"adredux after-para-one aligncenter\">\n<div class=\"adbox\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cThe public is hereby notified that Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an alleged case of criminal conspiracy and money laundering,\u201d the commission said in a notice on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>This declaration of a manhunt for Ms Achimugu comes two days after anti-graft agents discovered Mr Sanwo-Olu, through Ms Achimugu, allegedly piped public funds to Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party.<\/p>\n<div class=\"google-auto-placed ap_container\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"aswift_2_host\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5104\" src=\"https:\/\/beadysword.com.ng\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/download-7-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"262\" height=\"193\" \/><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Gazette learnt that an investigation was also expanded into how Ms Achimugu might have funded Messrs Obi and Abubakar around the 2023 elections after she was identified as a key supporter for Mr Sanwo-Olu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe agents didn\u2019t stop at identifying how the woman was helping the Lagos governor move money abroad;
