The Lagos State Police Command, yesterday, said it has uncovered a building in the Iju area of Lagos State used for internet fraud training<\/p>\n
Popularly called \u201cYahoo School,\u201d the command said four Yahoo experts, among others had been running the school, were arrested alongside six trainees, who were undergoing training in cybercrime and fraud during the operation.<\/p>\n

This was contained in a statement by the command\u2019s spokesman, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Tuesday in Lagos.<\/p>\n
According to Hundeyin, the police arrested four yahoo experts and six trainees.<\/p>\n
\u201cDuring the successful operations, the police detectives apprehended four Yahoo experts, aged 22, 23, 25, and 26, who were running the notorious school.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe other six suspects, who are between the ages of 12 and 26, are their criminal trainees, all of whom were undergoing training in cybercrime and fraud.<\/p>\n
\u201cPreliminary investigations revealed that the principal suspects of the facility recruited their trainees from Anambra, engaged them to commit internet fraud and other related crimes,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The police image maker said all suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Yaba, for further discreet investigation and prosecution.<\/p>\n
He further stated that efforts were on to arrest other accomplices.<\/p>\n
